Error description
APAR# JR24770 was opened to add PATCH2=72 to the DB2 CLI driver which would allow CLI to add a "G" to the front of any double by te literal when used against a GRAPHIC column. . This APAR was added to FP14 however it is not complete, and is n ot working the way it is supposed to. . This new APAR is opened to ensure that the "Replace Graphic Lite ral" feature is properly fixed.

Problem summary
Users Affected: Application developers using double byte characters for literals. Problem Description: This APAR fixes a bug in APAR JR24769. The new solution is to use the keyword PATCH2=71 instead of the keyword PATCH2=72.
