Problem Description: on a Windows using Japanese encoding
(IBM-943), DB2 agent fails opening the file db2nodes.cfg because
the absolute path string is incorrectly converted in the local
codepage (943), and some backslash characters are removed,
making it unusable to find the db2nodes.cfg file.
Problem occurs because
unlike Codepage 932, Windows Codepage 943 doesnot contain the
Yen(or backslash) character at 0x5C.
Therefore the conversion is incorrectly processed.

Problem conclusion


    

  • cp943 can't translate directory correct.it uses cp932 but
it is safe to do so because it is done only in
this specific part of the code (translation of directory path
and name)
where we
will not have NEC selected characters.
will be in a new fix  6.2.2-TIV-ITM_DB2-IF0002
