Error description

  • You attempt to save an update to a BAS resource definition using
the CICS Configuration Manager plugin for the CICS Explorer at
v2.1.0.7 or v2.1.0.8 and receive a popup error box entitled:
    .
    "Multiple problems have occurred"
    .
The error message in the popup box is:
    .
An internal error has occurred during: "Updating"
    .
The text within the popup box displays the following 2 lines
    of text:
    .
    Updating
    Updating
    .
If you click the "Details" button the following text is
    displayed:
    .
An internal error has occurred during: "Updating"
    Index: 0, Size: 0
    .
If you click menu dropdowns Window->Show View->Other->General->
Error Log you will see error text:
    .
An internal error occurred during: "Updating". If you double
click the error entry for more details it will open a popup box
    which contains exception:
    .

    .
If you click menu dropdowns Explorer->Trace->Collect Service
    Data
and save the .zip file, the .cicsexplorer.0.trace member will
    contain
a trace entry previous to the exception similar to the
    following:
    .
    yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss.thm EDT [nn] -

    com.ibm.cics.core.model.CPSM.fireException()

    [CPSM[host=your.host.name.com],
    com.ibm.cics.core.ui.internal.ConnectionContextManager@74b574b5
    ,
    com.ibm.cics.cm.model.runtime.CMServerException: Maybe
    incomplete :
    !ReasonCode_8000.message!]
    .
If you attempt to perform a similar save of an update using the
CICS CM ISPF dialog, you receive ISPF text message:
    .
"XPRA: Control Block version different from execution
    environment
version XPRA: Control Block version is 00030200 ; CICS TS
    Version is
    00040100"
    .
In this case, the customer configuration contained a CICS CM
resource attribute exit for CPSM contexts. The exit is the
COBOL CCVXPRA supplied sample exit from SCCVSAMP. This exit
also requires a control block version table CCVXPRAP. The
customer had upgraded from CICS TS 3.2 to CICS TS 4.1, but the
CCVXPRAP version table had not been recompiled the the
<CTSVRM> variable set to "410" resulting the Reasoncode_8000
message being sent to the CICS Explorer.
    .
The CICS Explorer needs to be able to process reason codes
returned by the CICS CM user exits.
    .
    Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): plug-in CCVXPRAJ CTSVRM
    KIXREVWJB
