Error description

  • Error Message: An ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception is encountered
during the execution of a Java application
    .
    Stack Trace: N/A
    .

Local fix

  • -Xjit:disableIdiomRecognition

Problem summary

  • The optimizer replaces a loop that performs copying between
character and byte arrays into a call to a fast optimized
arraycopy helper. In this scenario, the length computed by the
optimizer is incorrect, so the helper accesses elements that are
out of bounds of the arrays.

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR9
    .
The optimizer has been fixed to compute the length of the
    arraycopy correctly.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20101013 or later

Temporary fix
