Error description

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

When reconfiguring the mySAP agent using itmcmd manage, the
logon password must be entered every time. When reconfiguring
using itmcmd config, the previous password is presented as
the default so it does not need to be entered again.
    RECREATE INSTRUCTIONS:

    1. Install "Monitoring Agent for mySAP", version 06.20.00.00
    (C17LHIE).
    2. itmcmd config -A sa
       - Fill in prompts as required, including password.
    3. itmcmd config -A sa
       - Step through prompts, noting password has default value.
    4. itmcmd manage
    5. Configure "Monitoring Agent for mySAP"
    6. Go to "Agent Parameters" tab.
    7. Go to "Logon" sub-tab.
       - Note that the password field is empty.

Local fix

  • Configure the TEMS with the CLI (itmcmd config -A) instead of
    the GUI
    (itmcmd manage).
