Error description

  • When the "Module" attribute of the ApiExitCommon stanza does
not contain the absolute path of the exit, for example
    Module=amqsaxe instead of Module=/var/mqm/exits64/amqsaxe, then
crtmqm fails with the following error:

AMQ7214: The module for API Exit <Exit Name> could not be
    loaded.

The problem does not occur when the "Module" attribute contains
the absolute path of the exit. strmqm is not affected by this
    problem.

Local fix

  • Provide the absolute path in the "Module" line of
the ApiExitCommon stanza of /var/mqm/mqs.ini file.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
Users of common API exits (ApiExitCommon).

    Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When creating a queue manager the crtmqm process tries to load
an API exit if a common API exit is configured in mqs.ini. The
exit path was not set correctly which caused crtmqm to fail
with AMQ7214 error when loading the API exit.

Problem conclusion

  • WebSphere MQ has been modified to set the exit path correctly
    when creating the queue manager.
