Error description

  • TSAM 7.2

    When customer tries to provision a VM Machine,
    they get the following error:

    CTJZH2347E: No servers with these parameters are available on
    these dates.

    The GUI shows that there is a lack of disk space when the error
    happens, but in fact it is CPU that is exhausted

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED:
    TSAM users trying to provision a virtual machine in self-service
    user interface.
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When a user tries to provision a virtual machine and in the
    requested time frame a specific resource is exhausted the system
    will report a lack of available resources.
    The error message shown for that condition reports the wrong
    resouce to be unavailable. E.g. when CPU is the resource that is
    exhausted in the selected time frame then the error message
    states (wrongly) that there is not enough disk space available
    for provisioning.
    The reason for this is that the code that is responsible for
    reservations in TSAM does not return the correct value for the
    remaining resource values if one of the resources is exhausted.
