APAR status

Error description

  • Incorrect SMIT options while adding CIFS mount using C
locale

Local fix

  • Manually mount the SMBFS filesystem through the following
command
for eg:mount -v cifs -n pezman/user1/pass1 -o
uid=201,fmode=750 /home /mnt

Problem summary

  • With C locale, smit cifs_fsmnt menu has  incorrect options
for "mount read only". If "yes" is selected, the filesystem
would be mounted read-write and  vice-versa.

Problem conclusion

  • Made appropriate changes so that correct values are displayed
and the action taken corresponds to the selcted value.
