Error description

  • The DBClean configuration for object "PaymentRule" and type
"obsolete" can cause loss of data in the PPCPAYINST table when
the RMA table is empty due to an error in the delete statement
that is executed.

  • USERS AFFECTED:
This issue applies to WebSphere Commerce V6.0 and V7.0 customers
using the Database Cleanup utility (dbclean) for object
"PaymentRule" and type "obsolete".

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Correct the DBClean configuration for object "PaymentRule" and
type "obsolete" which can cause loss of data in the PPCPAYINST
table.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
The PPCPAYINST table is used by the Payment Plug-in Controller
to store payment instructions. Data on this table could be lost
when DBClean is used for this table and the RMA table is empty.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The Interim Fix associated with APAR IZ65705 updates the delete
statement for the PPCPAYINST table which is contained in the
CLEANCONF table. Apply this fix to resolve the issue.
