IZ63940: EXCEPTIONS THROWN WHEN CONNECTING USING WEBSPHERE MQ V7 JAVA/JMSCONNECTION SHARING

APAR status

Error description

  • If a WebSphere MQ classes for Java or WebSphere MQ classes for
    Java Message Service (JMS) application creates a connection
    which is configured for connection sharing, it is possible that
    an exception is thrown, indicating a 2059 error
    
    Caused by: com.ibm.mq.jmqi.JmqiException: CC=2;RC=2059;AMQ9204:
    Connection to host 'localhost(1414)' rejected.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of the WebSphere MQ classes for Java or
    WebSphere MQ classes for JMS Version 7 who connect to a Version
    7 MQ queue manager.
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows) +Java

    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    The problem is caused by a small timing window where a
    connection disconnects as another connection request attempts to
    share it.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The timing window has been removed so that the problem no longer
    exists.
