Error description

  • Typically error AMQ9522 with error code 545284153(0x20806039 -
    xecS_E_TOO_BIG) will be logged in the error log and in some
    cases accompanied by FDC with probe RM241000 and error
    rrcE_STATUS_TABLE_ERROR.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users setting very high value for MaxChannels in V6 and V7.
    
    Platforms affected:
    All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    The queue manager calculates the Status table size based on the
    value set for the MaxChannels. When this value was very large,
    the queue manager tried to allocate large amount of memory
    for the channel status table. The attempt to allocate memory
    for a large channel status table failed, resulting in the
    AMQ9522 error.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Appropriate code changes have been made to restrict the
    MaxChannels to 65535 which is the maximum as per design.
