IZ50341: ERROR BMXAA4025E IMPORTING STOREROOM LOCATIONS VIA MIF IF BASE LANGUAGE NOT EN OR IF USING A SYNONYM VALUE FOR STOREROOM.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Using out of box MXSTORELOC interface.  If the base lang
  is not EN, or if EN and using a synonym for LOCTYPE other
  than the word STOREROOM, the import will fail with the error:
  
  BMXAA4025E - Es wurde kein externer Standardwert
  für den
  internen Wert LAGERORT in der Domäne LOCTYPE, siteid=FOPS,
  orgid=TMD
  gefunden.
  
  BMXAA4025E - No external default value found for internal value
  STOREROOM-synonym in domain LOCTYPE.
  
  To reproduce:
  
  1.  Install Maximo 7 with a base language other than English.
  2.  Use the MIF to import a storeroom location
  
  To reproduce in English Maximo:
  
  1.  Create a new synonym for STOREROOM in the LOCTYPE domain.
  2.  Use the MIF to import a storeroom location which has a TYPE
  value of the new synonym.
  

Local fix

• 1.  In the Domains application, add a new synonym to the LOCTYPE
  domain with the following values:
  Internal Value:   STOREROOM
  Value:  STOREROOM
  Description:  For data load only - do not use
  Default:   checked
  2.  Edit your data file(s) and change the TYPE from  LAGERORT to
  STOREROOM.
  3.  Import the data via the MIF.
  4.  Shutdown the Application Server.
  5.  Change the value for TYPE in the LOCATION table:
  update locations set type='LAGERORT' where type='STOREROOM'
  6.  Start the Application Server.
  7.  In the Domains application for domain LOCTYPE, set LAGERORT
  as the default and delete the entry for value=STOREROOM.
  
  The above is for German language storeroom (LAGERORT).
  Substitute local language word for storeroom for a
  different language.
