Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All WebSphere Message Broker File Extender *
    * users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Corrupted session in the registry can *
    * result in repeated MBFE_00040 and *
    * MBFE_00005 error messages being *
    * logged in the system log. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: *
    ****************************************************************
    The MBFE_00040 error is logged every few seconds and
    eventually fills the log making problem diagnosis difficult.

    The error message logged is as follows:

    CBRBRKK1.egBulk ) Java node error:
    '[com.ibm.mbfe.messages.Messages:
    MBFE_00040]Internal exception trying
    to restart session '-1' with node key
    'CBRBRKK1.egBulk.mfMessageFlow.
    MBFEFileInputNode
    FILE INPUT': 'com.primeur.wmqife.jms
    .JMSFacadeRestartException: Error
    restarting a new session - Caused
    by inner Exception:
    com.primeur.javax.jms.
    FTJMSInvalidObjectException: Invalid
    restart information for session
    'FTJMSPersistentQueueSessionKey
    @s_1153139138', missing saved value
    for ack mode, property 'ACK_MODE''.:
    '.

Problem conclusion

  • Message Broker File Extender now handles corrupted sessions
    more gracefully and does not log the error message so
    frequently.
