Error description

  • Citrix ICA client 10.2 will not launch as a single
    instance
    application.
Description: Customer uses Citrix clients on Private desktop
    machines to
ICA to citrix servers and run applications. Previously, they
    were using
    ICA client v10.1. No issues.

After moving to ICA client v10.2, something changed and
    launching ICA
sessions from different desktops no longer works.

After some troubleshooting, we've narrowed it down to
    WFCRUN32.EXE. It
seems to behave just like a single instance application.
    However after
configuring it as a SIA, the first instance loads fine, but
    subsequent
sessions attempt to load, then close immediately.

Steps to Duplicate: Setup a workstation as private desktop.
    Install the
10.2 Citrix ICA client and attempt use open multiple ICA
    sessions as
different users. The problem can easily be seen by the 2nd,
    3rd, 4th
    users.

Desired Behavior: Citrix ICA sessions should work correctly when
    configured as single instance applications.

    Environment: TAM ESSO v8

    Workaround: None

Solution: Configure wfcrun32 as a single instance application.
    Add
    iexplore.exe and wfica32.exe to the pid_lusm_sia_launcher_list
    registry
key. After adding iexplore.exe to this list, users can not
    launch
Internet Explorer. Patch has been delivered by engineering
    which seems
    to have addressed the issue.
