IZ21392: REMOVE SYNONYM VALUE FOR WO STATUS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• It is possible to remove a synonym value for a work order
  status while this status is in use on an active workorder.
  
  After the synonym value has been removed, the client is unable
  to find the workorder (when entering the WO # into the search
  field) and Maximo hangs.
  
  Reproduced in test environment:
  Create a synonym value for an existing work order status
  Created a new WO and change the status to the new status
  Delete the synonym value (Maximo allows it)
  Go back to WO Tracking and enter the WO # into the search
  field - Maximo hangs

Problem conclusion

• The 7.x behavior is back ported to 6.2.3 that a warning message
  will be displayed when a synonym value is deleted to remind the
  user to update the existing records that referenced to the
  deleted value if any.
  
  The domain application doesn't have information about
  individual domain  and how it is being used. It cannot stop the
  user from deleting a synonym value.
  
  Upon saving, a message
  
  one or more synonym domain values have been modified. If you
  have any records that reference old synonym values, you need to
  update them for the system to work properly. Introducing site
  or orgnaization synonym values does not automatically include
  all exissting global ones.
  
  
  
  
  
  Also, domain app is a system admin app, a user shouldn't go
  ahead removing synonym values as please.
