IZ16095: ORACLE GATEWAY DISCARDS EVENTS FROM ORACLE ERROR ORA-01688

Error description

  • The Oracle gateway discards events after receiving Oracle Error
    ORA-01688 for the table being out of space. Below is the error
    logged in the gateway log file -
    
    Mon Feb  4 00:00:46 2008: E-UNK-000-000: Oracle Error:
    [ORA-01688: unable to extend table REPORTER.REPORTER_STATUS
    partition P] - sqlcode[-1688]
    Mon Feb  4 00:00:46 2008: E-UNK-000-000: Thread
    'StatusTableInsProcThread': Failed to send batch to Oracle
    database, due to an unknown error. Aborting the operation.
    
    The gateway should store the data and send it when the table
    space is extended.
    

Local fix

  • Extend the Oracle database table space.
