Error description
mqs.ini contains stanzas that refer to unavailable locations in filesystem. FDC records are written by the WebSphere MQ Explorer. These FDC records are not indications of a product defect. They should not be written. The visible function of the WebSphere MQ Explorer is correct and is not changed by this APAR.

**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of WebSphere MQ Explorer on a machine with an installation including an mqs.ini file, when this file contains filesystem locations that are not accessible. Platforms affected: Linux (x86),Windows **************************************************************** PROBLEM SUMMARY: When attempting to read from a directory named in mqs.ini, certain OS return codes were not being correctly handled by WebSphere MQ code. Although the visible function of the WebSphere MQ Explorer is correct, the resulting FDC files are not needed, and can give cause for concern when none is necessary.
Problem conclusion
