    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM SUMMARY:
    The AMQ9213 error occurred because the IPv6 sin6_scope_id had
    not been set by the initiating end of the channel. Some systems
    require a non-zero IPv6 scope ID to qualify an IPv6 address.

Problem conclusion

  • WMQ has been modified to allow both the initiating and
    responding ends of channels to initialise the IPv6 scope ID.

    Affected customers will need to apply the fix for this APAR and
    include the scope ID in the channel definition CONNAME field.
    The scope ID must be the last item in the field and must be
    separated from the hostname by a percent character (%).

    For example, a connection to host fe80::4567 on port 1415 which
    needs to use scope ID 1 should have a CONNAME of
    "fe80::4567(1415)%1".

    The same syntax can also be used in the channel definition
    LOCLADDR field. The runmqlsr -i parameter can also accept an
    optional scope ID, for example:

    runmqlsr -m QMGR -t tcp -p 1416 -i fe80::7890%1
