IZ02636: SQLSTATE 08007 IS NOT RECOGNISED AS A STATE IN WHICH THE DATABASE CONNECTION SHOULD BE RELEASED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If the broker loses its database connection then it is designed
  to release that connection and attempt to reconnect cleanly.
  But in order for it to do that, it must recognise that the SQL
  State has a value requiring such action, and 08007 is not
  currently in its list.
  

Local fix

• Test fix 6.0.0.3-WS-MB-AixPPC64-TFP05607.tar.Z is available from
  L2 for AIX if needed.

  If Websphere Message Broker encounters a database error with
  SQLSTATE 08007, then the Execution Group involved may
  terminate.
  The Administration Agent will detect the failed Execution
  Group and attempt to restart it, but if the SQLSTATE 08007
  persists then the restarted Execution Group will abend.
  

Problem conclusion

• WebSphere Message Broker has been modified so that after a
  SQLSTATE 08007 it will release its lost database connection
  and attempt to reconnect cleanly.
