  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When BLOB data is placed into the       *
  *                      MQRFH2 usr folder it is truncated       *
  *                      with a maximum length of 128 bytes      *
  *                      when the message is written to a        *
  *                      queue.                                  *
  *                      Additionally, text is placed at the     *
  *                      end of the truncated value to confirm   *
  *                      that the data has been truncated.       *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  A change was made for APAR PK25994 to reduce the amount of
  memory used when large messages need to be handled under error
  conditions. Very large messages written as BLOB data take up
  to four times the memory to write out in plain text. This
  memory overhead occurs in trace nodes, errors and trace.
  
  The fix was to truncate blob data when writing to trace, when
  writing error messages, or when writing blob data in a trace
  node. Only the first 64 characters are output.
  
  Unfortunately this has caused a regression when using the usr
  folder in the MQRFH2 header to store blob data. This data is
  also being truncated.
  

Problem conclusion

• The changes made in PK25994 have been reversed.
