  • mgmt domain not created when localhostname was 127.0.0.1
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • RTAS has a list of HMC IP addresses. CSMAgentRM computes the
    LPAR's connectivity IP addresses (i.e a local IP address on
    the LPAR that is reachable from each of the HMC IP
    addresses) and chooses the first as the Local IP address.
    If the RTAS list was such that first of the HMC IP
    addresses was invalid, we would not use that, but would use
    the next reachable HMC IP address.  However, since we
    still choose the first from the list of LPAR connectivity
    IP addresses when forming the management domain, the
    management domain was not being formed as this one was
    a loop back address.
    

Problem conclusion

  • 1)Choose the LPAR IP address corresponding to the working
    HMC IP address.
    2)Ignore 127.0.0.1 in the list of lpar connectivity IP
    addresses and pass the filtered one to dmsrm and rmc so
    they don't have to deal with loop back address.
