APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The "find" command on the current directory fails when one of
    the parent directories do not have "read" permission.  This is
    illustrated by the testcase below:
    
    $ mkdir a $ mkdir a/b $ chmod 755 a/b $ chmod 111 a $ cd a/b $
    find .  pwd: The file access permissions do not allow the
    specified action.
    
    Note: This is applicable only for users other than 'root'.

Problem summary

  • The "find" command on the current directory fails when one of
    the parent directories in the current path do not have "read"
    permission.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Opened an internal defect to address this issue.
