APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If I create a quick filter and update the textbox to specify
the filtering value, the enter key with the number pad does not
save and apply the changes made to the filter.

For example, creating a quick filter on the transaction
definition change date. If I update the value in the data
field, pressing the enter key with the number pad does not
apply the changes made to the date.

Local fix

  • Use the enter key above the right shift key.

Problem summary

  • The CICS Explorer is being used to browse CICS resources. A
Quick Filter is created to filter the view, using a text or
numeric filter. The 'Enter' key on the keyboard numberic keypad
is pressed, but this does not cause the filter to be applied to
the current view.

Problem conclusion

  • The CICS Explorer has been updated so that the 'Enter' key on
the keyboard numberic keypad can be used when adding or updating
a Quick Filter.
This fix will be made available in Version 5.4.0.2 of the CICS
Explorer.
