Error description

  • - The PowerHA clver verification utility may produce
erroneous error messages such as the following:
         . . .
         Verifying node nodeName.
         ERROR: caavg_private is not imported
(has no disk assigned) on node nodeName

after which the clver utility may core dump
with the following call stack shown in errpt:
      ---------------------
      strcpy 4
      ver_getif 8F4
      ver_topol 160
      start_clv EAC
      main F68
      ---------------------

    - This clver core dump is caused by the following
      apar issue:

IV93375 Core dumps in multithreaded process
                 using Olson TZ (time zones).

The problem may be corrected by applying
the fix for apar iv93375, or using the
work around of changing to the use of POSIX
      time zones.

    - This apar is to address the code issues
in the clver utility which cause the
      CORE_DUMP symptom to appear.
