  • Error Message: An error message is reported when using
certificates that contain DER encodings which are not encoded in
the shortest form possible.  The following error message is
reported:
An IO Exception has occurred:
java.io.IOException: Invalid encoding: redundant leading 0s
.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The JVM has been updated to recognize a
com.ibm.security.EnforceStrictDER system property to disable
some of the strict DER encoding checks.  Strict DER checking is
performed unless the system property is set to the value false.
Sample invocation to disable strict DER checking:
java -Dcom.ibm.security.EnforceStrictDER=false ...
