Error description

  • XMS.NET applications throw an error while receiving a message
    which contains an RFH2 header with user defined properties
    containing attributes.

    The following Exception is being thrown during the processing of
    the RFH2 usr folder

    CWSMQ0286E: An internal error occurred within method
    ParseFolderToPropertyNodes(StringBuilder). Malformed WMQ message
    content <Dlv context="none" dt="string"></Dlv><Dst
    context="none" dt="String"></Dst><Tms context="none"
    dt="string"></Tms> was detected.

Local fix

  • Remove the attributes (context="none" dt="string")from the
    header pages. The XMS application is then successfully able to
    read the  message.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    All the XMS.NET applications receiving a message,which contain
    any other attribute in its RFH2 "usr" folder other than "dt"
    will fail to receive the message.

    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    XMS.NET Code expects only attribute of type "dt" in the RFH2's
    usr folder.If there is any other attribute defined the following
    exception is thrown.

    CWSMQ0286E: An internal error occurred within method
    ParseFolderToPropertyNodes(StringBuilder). Malformed WMQ message

    If any additional attribute other than "dt" is added the
    following form
    <Dlv context="none" dt="string"></Dlv>

    then Parsing of the message fails with CWSMQ0286E error code.

Problem conclusion

  • The parsing code has been changed to ignore any other attribute
    other than "dt" rather than throwing an error.
