Error Message: j9prt.748 * ** ASSERTION FAILED ** at ../omr/port/common/j9memtag.c:141: ((memoryCorruptionDetected)) . Stack Trace: unwrapBlockAndCheckTags j9mem_free_memory freeStackWalkCaches Java_java_security_AccessController_getAccSnapshot . Expected AccessControlException when loading a class from a restricted package.
Local fix
This issue can be worked around using the -Xverify:none option. Note however that this may lead to unexpected behaviour previously prevented by the verification.
Problem summary
The problem is caused by attempting to load a class from a restricted package as part of class initialization. The issue only occurs when the security manager is enabled.
Problem conclusion
The JVM has been updated to avoid freeing an invalid pointer. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR3 (8.0.3.0) .
