Error description
Restoring a tar archive that is not in Ustar format (made by older tar versions) might truncate files or directories names greater than 100 characters
Local fix
use pax command instead of tar command # pax -x ustar -rvf tar_archive name
Problem summary
If customer tries to unarchive a older tar archive ( i.e. doesn't contain the the magic string "ustar" in AIX or "ustar " in GNU) Filnames that are greater than 99 char in that archive gets truncated.
Problem conclusion
Making necessary code changes to fix the problem.
