IV82557: 'ERROR OCCURED WHILE SEARCHING FOR DEPENDENTS' MESSAGE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO DELETE A RULE FROM THE USER INTERFACE

Error description

  • In some circumstances a NullPointerException occurs while
    attempting to delete a Rule from the QRadar User Interface.  In
    these specific instances, a 'error occured while searching
    dependents' message that appears in a pop up window and the
    rule is not deleted.

    /var/log/qradar.log when this issue is occurring:

Local fix

  • No workaround available.
    In a future patch release, this issue will be corrected and the
    deletion of the affected rules can be retried.
