APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The configuration verification tool for xDR called xdrverifycfg
  prints out the following warning message, although /etc/inittab
  is not used with SLES12 and RHEL7:
  
  SAMX0108W No entry for process /usr/bin/xdrwatchdog is found in
  file /etc/inittab
  
  Additionally, the sample file to copy files to z/VM called
  xdrcpvmsamples might fail when running on SLES12.

Problem conclusion

• The xDR configuration verification tool has been corrected to
  check for the appropriate service enablement with SLES12 and
  RHEL7. The sample file xdrcpvmsamples has been corrected to run
  successfully on SLES12.
  Note: xDR support for SLES12 or RHEL7 requires GDPS 3.12
