  The JVM hangs with all Java threads paused for garbage
  collection,
          while a JIT compilation thread continues to run
  indefinitely.
  

Local fix

• The option -Xjit:disableLocalCSE may prevent the hang.
        Note that this option may impose a significant performance
  penalty,
        though it can be restricted to particular methods.
  

Problem summary

• In certain rare circumstances, the JIT compiler could violate an
  invariant
        of its internal representation of the program, resulting
  in a hang.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JIT compiler has been modified so that it will preserve this
  invariant
        in these circumstances.
