Error description
Error Message: The JIT compiler crashes during escape analysis. . Stack Trace: .
Local fix
The problem can be avoided using the option -Xjit:disableEscapeAnalysis. Note this might have a slight impact on performance, but in most cases it will be less than 1%.
Problem summary
Escape analysis, an optimization that determines whether an object may escape a given scope, could under certain circumstances treat an operation involving a statically unknown class as though the class were statically known.
Problem conclusion
The JIT compiler has been modified so that escape analysis will correctly determine in these cases that the class is unknown. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 8 SR2 (8.0.2.0) 7 SR9 FP20 (7.0.9.20) 7 R1 SR3 FP20 (7.1.3.20) .
