Error description

  • In cases where a customer sets the property to filter the
    redundant FDB MAC found on trunk port of any switches, we
    require that LLDP and CDP be available on the network devices.
    However, in some cases only CDP may be enabled on Cisco
    while LLDP is enabled on the HP switches. If this occurs, then
    relationships between the two are not discovered. We have
    founb that there are alternate MIBs that can be used in this
    case and will add these as a backup option;

    From LLDP enabled switch;

    LLDP-MIB::lldpRemChassisId.0.2.1 = STRING: "<CISCOROUTER>"

    LLDP-MIB::lldpRemPortId.0.2.1 = STRING: "GigabitEthernet0/1"

    From CDP enabled Cisco device;

    SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.10.1.1.4.2.1.1.5.1.1.2 = STRING:
    "<CISCOROUTER>"
    SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.23.1.3.4.0 = STRING: "<CISCOROUTER>"

Local fix
