  • Error Message: A performance regression may be observed on Java
8 when converting UTF16 characters to bytes on POWER platforms
when comparing to Java 7.

Problem summary


    

  • The performance regression is due to a functional fix to the
conversion routines that requires additional testing for
surrogate pairs.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The conversion routines have been improved to offset the cost of
the additional surrogate pair tests.

   8    SR2       (8.0.2.0)
