Error Message: JVM crashes with segmentation error vmState=0x0005ff05 on x86 platforms . This problem only occurs on systems using the x86 architecture.
Local fix
The problem can be avoided with the Java option -Xjit:disableInvariantArgumentPreexistence Note that this may affect performance.
Problem summary
During a method compilation, if new classes are loaded during the compilation process, the JIT compiler can crash because it will receive inconsistent answers from the query asking if a virtual method is overriden.
Problem conclusion
The JIT compiler has been updated to handle the inconsistency caused by classes loading during compilation process. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR3 FP20 (7.1.3.20) 8 SR2 (8.0.2.0) 6 SR16 FP15 (6.0.16.15) 7 SR9 FP20 (7.0.9.20) 6 R1 R8 FP15 (6.1.8.15) .
