Error description
Error Message: The DTFJ API com.ibm.dtfj.java.JavaThread.getObject() returns a com.ibm.dtfj.java.JavaThread object containing incorrect data, when reading a system dump. An incorrect object size is returned when the getSize() method is called subsequently on the com.ibm.dtfj.java.JavaThread object. . Stack Trace: N/A . The system dump was captured while a GC was in progress and contains in-flight data.
Local fix
Problem summary
The problem is caused when the DTFJ API is used to read an in-flight dump. The information obtained for Java threads in the JVM is inconsistent with the state of the Java heap.
Problem conclusion
The DTFJ API has been updated to make additional checks on the Java thread data, to avoid returning incorrect information. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 R1 SR3 FP10 (7.1.3.10) 7 SR9 FP 10 (7.0.9.10) 6 R1 SR8 FP7 (6.1.8.7) 8 SR1 FP10 (8.0.1.10) .
