• Error Message: The program will return an incorrect long value
  on x86 32-bit platform. The symptom could be anything resulting
  from that incorrect value.

Problem summary

• The failure happens because the code generator of JIT compiler
  was too aggressive when optimizing shift operation for values of
  type long and clobbered a register with useful value in it
  

Problem conclusion

• The code generator of JIT compiler has been fixed to be very
  conservative about the register we clobber to guarantee
  correctness when optimizing shift operation for values of type
  long .
