Error description

• STEPS:
  Need a large database with thousands of records for a labor
  1. go to labor reporting application, filter for a labor code
  system returned >5000 records
  2. click "Start Date" to sort by start date
  3. get error:
  System Message
    BMXAA9071W - Only the first 5,000 records can be sorted for
  the STARTDATE DESC attribute. Filter the list to show less than
  5,000 results in order to achieve a sort based on the STARTDATE
  DESC attribute. More information
  
  NOTE from L3: Since the Start Date field is now a
  non-persistent field, it gives that error when you sort too
  many records.  But if you put the new persistent field
  STARTDATEENTERED in the presentation and sort it, it should be
  able to sort but it doesn't.
