Problem summary
An attempt by an application to create a PrivateKeyEntry within a PKCS11 KeyStore can result in an "Object handle is invalid" exception.
Problem conclusion
Code within the PKCS11KeyStore convertPrivKeyObj( ) method assumeed that it is responsible for cleaning up the PKCS11Object associated with the private key thatis passed to it. The finalize( ) method of the keypassed in actually has that responsibility. The offending snippet of code has been removed. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR8 FP10 (7.0.8.10) 6 R1 SR8 FP3 (6.1.8.3) 7 R1 SR2 FP10 (7.1.2.10) 6 SR16 FP3 (6.0.16.3) .
