Error description

  • This is the affected scenario:

- CAA node name => FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name)
- HACMP Communication Path (HACMPnode) => FQDN
- AIX inet0 hostname => Short name
- honorTempHostNameChanges = 0
(meaning TEMP_HOSTNAME=disallow - see clmgr for details)

- user runs the AIX "/usr/bin/hostname <new_hostname>" *

* where the new_hostname can be either FQDN or short name
and the intention is a Temporarily Hostname Change

- the lscluster command (i.e. "lscluster -c") will return
an erroneous name resolution issue and it will appear
like this below (snipped):
