Error description

• Error Message: During JVM shutdown, LE may report ABEND user
  code 4083 with reason code 00000002
  .

Local fix

• This error may be bypassed by using the JVM option
  -XXallowvmshutdown:false . However, this option prevents some
  normal JVM shutdown procedures from running, and may cause the
  JVM to leak memory at shutdown.
  

Problem summary

• This problem is caused by a race condition between the
  termination of JVM threads and the unloading of shared
  libraries.
  This problem has frequently been encountered by
  PFA Predictive Failure Analysis when a PFA check
  is terminating the jvm.  Common messages similar
  to these may be reported:
  AIR022I REQUEST TO INVOKE MODELING FAILED FOR
  CHECK NAME= PFA_JES_SPOOL_USAGE
  UNIX SIGNAL RECEIVED= 00000009 EXIT VALUE= 00000000
   The error could occur for any CHECK NAME .
  

Problem conclusion

• The JVM will not attempt to unload any shared libraries prior to
  enclave termination. LE will automatically free up these
  resources upon enclave termination. This APAR supersedes APAR
  IV56569.
