  • Error Message: IBM JGSS client failed to work with a third party
    application, which authenticates with Kerberos credentials.The
    client side shows "Checksum error" after successfully decrypted
    AP-REQ message.

Problem summary

  • This turns out to be key selection issue at the initiator side.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Modified key selection method based on RFC4210 3.2.6.The
    corresponding Austin defect is 116077.The corresponding RTC
    Problem Report is 78275.Platform affected: All platforms.JVMs
    affected: 7.0, 7.27.Jars affected: ibmjgssprovider.jar.The fix
    will be available in 170_SR8_FP10, 727_SR2_FP10.Build level is
    20141103.
