X-Window's memory allocation is increased.

Local fix

  • XRender support is optional by Java7. Do not set
sun.java2d.xrender system property to true.

Problem summary

  • Java does not free XRender memory, if -Dsun.java2d.xrender=true
system property is set with hardware 3D acceleration.

Problem conclusion

  • Java has been updated to free XRender memory properly
.
This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases:
   7    SR8       (7.0.8.0)
   7 R1 SR2       (7.1.2.0)
.
