IV63897: INVENTORY AVAILABLE QUANTITY AND HARD RESERVED QUANTITY NOT SHIPPED ARE INCORRECT WITH MULTIPLE RESERVATIONS

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • 1. Create Item record via Item Master application.  Note that
    the Item Status and Item/Organization Status are both set to
    default to ACTIVE.
    
    Item: A0006
    Order Unit: EACH
    Issue Unit: EACH
    
    2. Choose Select Action à Add Items to Storeroom and enter
    CENTRAL,click OK.
    
    3. Enter Current Balance 10 and click OK.
    
    4. Choose Select Action à Add Items to Storeroom, enter GARAGE
    and click OK.  Click OK when the Add Items to Storeroom dialog
    appears.
    
    5. Navigate to the Storerooms tab and verify that both inventory
    records were created.
    
    6. Via the Inventory application, search for the newly created
    inventory records and A0004 in storeroom CENTRAL.
    
    7. From the Select Action menu, choose Add/Modify Reservations.
     Click
    New Row.
    
    8. Enter the following information and click OK.
    
    Item: A0006
    From Storeroom: CENTRAL
    To Storeroom: GARAGE
    Reservation Type: HARD
    Reserved Quantity: 1
    
    9. Note that the correct values display on the Inventory record:
    
    Current Balance: 10
    Hard Reserved Quantity Not Staged: 1
    Quantity Available: 9
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 1
    Hard Reserved Quantity: 1
    
    10. From the Select Action menu, choose Add/Modify
    Reservations, click
    New Row.
    
    11. Enter the following information and click OK:
    
    Item: A0006
    From Storeroom: CENTRAL
    GL Debit Account: enter any value
    Reservation Type: HARD
    Quantity: 2
    
    12. Note that the correct values display on the Inventory
    record:
    
    Current Balance: 10
    Hard Reserved Quantity Not Staged: 3
    Quantity Available: 7
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 3
    Hard Reserved Quantity: 3
    
    13. Via the Issues and Transfers application, search for
    Location CENTRAL.
    
    14. On the Issue tab, click Select Reserved Items, search for
    item A0006.  Check the reservation for a quantity of 2 and
    click OK.
    
    15. Change the Quantity to 1 and click save.
    
    16. Navigate back to the Inventory record for item A0006 and
    Storeroom
    CENTRAL and verify the inventory balances
    
    Current Balance: 9
    Hard Reserved Quantity Not Staged: 2
    Hard Reserved Quantity not Shipped: -1
    Quantity Available: 6
    Quantity Currently Reserved: 2
