Error Message: While running a java process that periodically runs non-java processes a memory leak is observed. Running with -Xcheck:jni shows:JVMJNCK071W JNI warning: Memory at 0xE3972370 acquired by GetByteArrayElements was not released before returning from native. This is probably a memory leak.JVMJNCK078W Warning detected in java/lang/UNIXProcess.forkAndExec . Stack Trace: N/A .
Local fix
Problem summary
This leakage was introduced by the Oracle bug 5049299 as it allocate a new memory using GetByteArrayElements but not releasing it using ReleaseByteArrayElements.
Problem conclusion
The JDK has been updated to include the release of the memory using ReleaseByteArrayElements. . This APAR will be fixed in the following Java Releases: 7 SR8 (7.0.8.0) 7 R1 SR2 (7.1.2.0) .
