APAR status

Error description

  • Using a RoCE adapter (10GbE PCIe2 CX2 Network Adapter
    (b315506714106104))as real adapter in a SEA with the
    largesend option enabled will lead to poor throughput,
    because the adapter will drop all largesend packets.
    

Local fix

  • disable largesend on the SEA adapter
    

Problem summary

  • Using a RoCE adapter (10GbE PCIe2 CX2 Network Adapter
    (b315506714106104))as real adapter in a SEA with the
    largesend option enabled will lead to poor throughput,
    because the adapter will drop all largesend packets.
    

Problem conclusion

  • 10G RoCE adapter device driver is fixed to enable device bits
    needed for LSO operations.
