Error description
A sync operation on PowerHA 7.1.3 fails when a cluster configuration includes FQDN CAA nodenames and non-FQDN PowerHA COMMUNICATION_PATH. The failure generates the following error messages: ERROR: Problems encountered creating the cluster in AIX. See /var/hacmp/log/clutils.log and /var/adm/ras/syslog.caa for the output of the chcluster command.

Problem conclusion
Strip the domain name off so that the labels can be compared.
