Error description
This APAR includes fixes to various defects identified in the IBM Explorer for z/OS.
Local fix
Problem summary
A number of small problems have been identified in the IBM Explorer for z/OS. This APAR provides a roll up of maintenance to address these issues.
Problem conclusion
A number of improvements including - Fixing some instances where status bar error messages from the Event Binding editor were not cleared and error log error messages were not formatted correctly - Alphabetically ordering connections in Host Connections view. Allowing double-click on credential to open edit dialog. - Fixing some typographical errors in context menus and dialog buttons for spelling and consistency across the product. - Changed Server certificate alert dialog button labels from OK/Cancel to Accept/Decline - Data Set and z/OS Unix Files explorers: clear buttons on Linux, accepting history proposal with one enter key press - Fix problem exporting files with long file names, where files were exported erroneously to the user's home directory - Prevent submitting a job from job spool viewer (contents will never be valid JCL) - Reduce possibility of two copies of the installation Launchpad being open concurrently - Improve Installation Manager experience to allow for plug-in customization files, and show workspace location in the title bar. - During Data Set or Unix File deletions, do not present errors for files that do not exist - Fix problem in telnet z/OS code sample where the sample did not work correctly on Linux - After deleting a file, do not show hyperlink to that file in z/OS Explorer console - Improve error handling when unable to delete z/OS Unix Files directory - Fix a case where some symbolic links to files were incorrectly reported as symbolic links to directories This fix will be made available in Version 2.1.0.5 of the IBM Explorer for z/OS, which will be included in Version 5.1.1.5 of the CICS Explorer.
