IV59787: XMS.NET CLIENT CREATES NEW CONNECTIONS FOR EVERY MQPUT USING QUEUED PUBSUB

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • XMS.NET Client creates a new connection for every MQPUT when
using Queued PUB/SUB. At some point of time the no of Client
connections on that particular channel reaches max channel
instances and the application would throw an exception.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
All XMS.NET Applications using Queued PubSub

    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
XMS.NET Application checks for the XMSC.WMQ_BROKER_QMGR property
if queued Pub/Sub is used, if the queue manager name specified
is different from that of the session queue manager,it creates a
new connection.Though the queue manager name is same,XMS.NET
misinterprets as different and creates a new Connection for
    every MQPUT.

Problem conclusion

  • If the queue manager name specified for the property
XMSC.WMQ_BROKER_QMGR is same as that of the session queue
manager,we use the same connection, rather than creating a new
    connection.
