APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • CPU usage monitoring will show spikes up to 100% of CPU, even
though the BESClient is configured to only use 10% of the CPU.

The client log will show messages similar to:
    At 11:23:11 -0400 -
       CPU overworked, configured:10000, actual:317387,
    file:c/ReportManager.cpp,
    line:1289

There are three places in the code where we are not
throttling the cpu sufficiently. One is minor, just barely
    overshooting our
allowed for range, while the other two are significantly
    overshooting on cpu
usage. The numbers in the log indicate that these areas would be
    throttling
enough on a 100% entitlement, but the 10% entitlement is not
    allowing enough
time to complete the work in these areas.
